So… A lot of millennials are facing serious retroactive embarrassment after learning that there were real people answering your questions through ChaCha. If you don't recall or just don't know what ChaCha is, it was a service that pre-dates smart phones. You would text ChaCha any question you had and then a ChaCha employee would go to their computer and Google that question for you and text you back the answer. This came out around when a lot of millennials were in middle school/high school, so you can imagine the absurd questions that were asked… It also turns out many millennials actually thought it was an automated response and not real people, so there was no filter in questions.
If we weren't embarrassed enough about the questions we sent, we are now getting roasted by Gen Z with ChaCha now sounding absolutely absurd. This ChaCha-gate all started when a millennial saw a video of a younger girl who was unable to process how it was possible for a phone to not have internet access. It then reminded her that she used to work for ChaCha back in the day. She posted a video about her spiral into absurdity with this core memory unlocked and oh boy did all hell break loose.
